Bad Cv Joint ????
I feel a thump in my front end as I drive down the road,,,kinda like a whop, whop , whop....not bad but you can feel and hear it.
I lifted the front end and there is not play in the wheels on either side. However, I pulled the passenger side wheel off and spun everything by hand. I hear a slight click, click, click constantly as I turn...alomst sounds like when we used to put baseball cards in the spokes of our bike tires...it was not quite that loud but you could hear it.
What do you guys think CV JOINT?

How do the CV boots look? Torn? Grease dripping? And like he said above, does it click when you turn? Those are symptoms of possibly bad CV joints, depending on how long they have gone unlubricated.
there is a shop in cincinnati that does excellent work on repairing CV joints. the guys replace the cv joint cage, and the *****. re-grease everything, and a brand new boot. they charge $50 for this excellent work, with 1 year warranty. i know some reman axles are about the same, but i have compared their work to napa's and autozone's rebuilt axels, and it's not even close. plus you can keep your own axles if you get them re-built.
anyway... the whole point of this story is: if you can find a shop in your town that re-builds cv joints, do it. national companies that re-sell rebuilt axles dont' do as high quality work.

I had that same noise and I thought it was my struts but it turned out to be my link pins that hold my front sway bar in. If they are gone you can wiggle the sway bar by hand or with a small pry bar. $140 to fix them as apposed to 400-500 for just new struts and shocks. Check it out.
I have that same problem. ONLY when I accelerate do i get that click click sound. (like one of those party ratchet type noise makers except lower note) I think it was because when I was installing my coilovers, I put the jack underneith the control arm. I jacked it up to one point and it shot up with a clang. Might have damaged something. Hope not
