What other suspension parts are needed?

My maxima now has over 150000 miles on it and I am begining to compile parts to change out the suspension. I currently have new Maxspeed springs and my illumina shocks are on order. I will also be changing out my front wheel bearings, strut mounts and also the front half shalfs because the CV joints are shot. I figured I would also look at the tie rod ends while I am there but I am not sure if there is anything else I should be looking at while I am doing the work.

Thanks in advance for the help

Are you LCA bushings doing ok?

Sounds like alot of work, but it's and interesting job. I got alot out of learning about my car, when I did my CV Joint. Did you hit something and damage most of these parts? I don't think I would change out bearings, tie rods, and control arm components if there wasn't an issue with them. Shouldn't they hold up pretty well?

edit: With Nmex's statement, you should do your bushings and mounts as well. That would be a good mod seeing with your suspension setup, you are working on the handling aspects.

Unfortunately both CV joint boots have been torn for awhile and now have begun to make noise. When I took a look at them I noticed a lot of debris there soI figured it would be better to replace the CV joint instead of replacing the boot only and then find out I should have done the whole thing. The only reason I am replacing the wheel bearings is because I have a set of hubs with new bearing in them and I will have everything apart when I do the half shafts. How hard is it to change the lower control are bushing? Do I order them from Dave B or Energy Suspension ?

I suggest getting the poly bushings from ES. Cattman has them.

I ordered my complete set of bushings and mounts from Matt Blemhco. There's a gd going on still I believe.

I haven't tackled the control arm bushings yet, but all that probably needs to be removed.

I got my ES bushings from Steve G at www.sportcompactonly.com. There's an .Org discount if you give him your .Org name.
