How Can I Get My Trip Control To Work Again?

I JUST UPGRADES FROM THE FACTOR HU TO A KEENWOOD HU .. I KNEW THE VOL. CONTROL ON MY STEERING WHEEL WAS GOING TO WORK ANY MORE..BUT NOW MY TRIP METER CONTROL DOESNT WORK AND IT IS STUCK ON JUST TELLING ME THE TEMPERTURE...HOW CAN I GET IT TO WORK SO CAN SEE HOW MANY MILES IM GETTING PER GALLON OF GAS?...
PLEASE HELP A.S.A.P [/SIZE][/SIZE]

1. PLEASE STOP USING ALL CAPS.
2. SEARCH. Even the poor man's search would work fine for something that has been beat to death as much as this.
3. If that fails...we have an Audio forum here. Scroll down and youd see it.

But to answer your question, ground the brown/white wire in the unused harness in the dash that is for the factory steering wheel controls.

I don't believe it is for all the steering wheel controls, just the trip cpu.

Its mad easy to do, there should be a brown wire that you have to ground on the harness, and that should do the trick but do a search because i know there is a write up on it, i did it a long time ago..

The red and the blue/yellow wires in the harness are steering wheel controls, the others are trip computer stuff.
