Black housing Headlights? DIY? Pics inside of a members car...

Those have outer black housings, also looks maybe like a light smokey tint over the glass
whats up with them. Is there A way to do this without damaging the headlight seals so they dont leak?

Im familier with the DIY black housing headlights for civics and those are a PITA!

theese might seem easy. any writeups or anyway to do it.

Also the corner lights are they DIY smoked? also was nightshades used or clear black enamel. Please let me get some info, i think thats really cool. Gives a clean appearance for us people who are too poor and dont have enough time to do the E36 conversion. My stockies will get me through lol.
thanks in advance!!!

Thats my old car.

I took the headlights apart and painted the corners (corners only not any reflective parts) black...there was a thread not to long ago about a guy wanting to know how to do it.

The corners on that car are actual UK corners. They are hard to come by since the Maxima is not that popular in the UK.

I can tint some to look very similar to them by using clear and a paint mixture. This is actual automotive clear (ppg) and not rattle can stuff.

If you look in my sig and click on my 93 page I have a 92 gxe in there somewhere (I think I have it listed as "my first complete paint job")...it think its the next to last page...anyway I have a set of my painted corners on it.

Not to hurt anyones feelings but night shades doesnt compare to my work...not even close.

I charge $40 including shipping back to you (in the lower 48 states) with you supplying me with the corners.

awesome, ill keep that in mind. But yeh, I was thinkin about the black housing headlights, do i need to bake the headlights? or is there just a rubber seal not a tacky glue that has to be heated up and pried apart like civic headlights do.
Im familier with doing black housing headlights, they look amazing! gr8 job on yours. and is there any film or tint on your headlights? or just the black housing.

just baked them for 10 or 15 min and they pulled apart. bake them again to put them back on. They use a sealent glue not a rubber seal.

no film or anything...just the very corners painted black...not the entire housing.
