Bose unit CD player fix?

Seems a few people have had this problem.... When playing the Bose 6 stakcer Cd player sometimes only the passenger front speaker works, yet when you mode change to Radio all the speakers work fine. Only happens randomly, someone mentioned they thought they saw a fix in the stickies but I couldn't find it. Does anyone have a fix for this? Besides a new headunit. I plan on changing it in the near future but I've other mods I'm dealing with first. Thanks in advance.

You need a new HU. This is the most common problem with 2002 Maximas.

Thanks, not exactly the fix I was hoping for, think I'd rather go aftermarket.

Good choice. I just replaced mine with aftermarket and the stock BOSE speakers sound so much better without the POS Clarion stock HU.

Pioneer AVIC D1. The navi leaves something to be desired, but sound is very much improved from stock HU.

It takes you to the Audio and Electronics forum where you can see what many other people have replaced their head unit with.
