blower fan... HELP

THis keeps happening.. getting annoying!

When heat is up, speed 2 and higher, under the passenger side airbag (sounds like its coming from there) it sounds like a paper is flickering in the duct.. anyone else had/has this? what do i do? trrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr its not too loud, but picture a duct, and on one wall, a piece of paper is taped only at the corner.. when the air turns on, the paper flickers.. thats what this sounds like...

I like the analogy you used to describe this...
I had the same thing with my car a few months ago when I first bought it, it was the bearings in the blower motor. I couldn't find anyone that would rebuild this kind of motor, so I called junkyards, and got one from a 2000 Altima (same motor) with a 90 day warranty for $40 shipped.
It is a very easy installation, takes about 20 min.

*** One thing; Haynes states to disconnect the battery, and then the airbag, DO NOT reconnect the battery to check the motor (like I did) while the airbag is still disconnected!!!! My airbag light has been on ever since...

I just got my car 2 days ago, and I turned the heat on (about 6 degrees outside), and it sounded like chewbaca was under the glovebox yelling at me. The noise was a very loud, constant roar. It stopped with higher speeds, and after a few minutes stopped, but I heard a clicking noise as the fan was on. I don't know it its the motor though, maybe it was aggravated by the cold?

Mine only happens when it is cold out. After the car warms up for a bit it goes away. Usually only on speed 2 and 3.

I am at 74k miles, so no warranty for me on this, but maybe others will still be covered.
