On Saturday night here in Austin, we had something called the "4 Door Challenge". We had been planning it all weekend on a local forum we have for Street Racing enthusiasts www.texasracingscene.com.

I was called out by a guy who had his Wifes 01 Chrysler LHS. He recently sold his C5Vette, so he decided to have a crack at the 4 doors. Well, being the racing guy I am, I went ahead and organized the 4 door challenge. Not many cars showed tho.

I raced the LHS 3 times. 0-100. Beat him by about 4 cars all three times. Second run was with a Subaru Forester. AWD Wagon. Killed him 2 times. I'd say about 5 or more car lengths. Third run was a Ford Taurus (99 Model). Spanked him too, one time. My last and final run was with a 94 Accord with a 95 Predule motor in it, after the orginal one blew. We raced from 0-100. Well as we took off, we stayed dead even.....45 - 60 - 75...even we could not break pace. We got up to 100 mph, and he started to pull on me a little. I decided to keep going. We had plenty of road, and no cars. we got up to 120, and my Driver door was a little behind his. Id say the difference was about a hoods length.

I ran him again, this time from a 30mph punch. We both hit the pedal, We stayed even, I shifted to 2nd, and pulled about half a car. It stayed that way until we reached 105.

Bear in mind my car is an automatic with a K&N, Cattman Y Pipe, Greddy Cat, back, and some good drivin skills. I think I fared well for a car that ran a 16.1 stock, and maybe a 15.7 now. Question is, what else can I buy for the car?. Except for the VB? I know I might need an RT Cat, but what else?

Have you thought about adding NOS or the SC kit?

yeah

I thought about NOS. I am looking into buyin a Bike soon, so I don't know if the need for speed will affect the Maxima anymore. I want all the bolt ons before I do NOS. At least that way, I know its at full potential without a power adder. I just wanna get a high 14 on the Auto before I go with NOS.

try a cold air intake or a pop charger ,maybe your engine will breathe a little better with a high flo intake oryou could get some vacum hose & feed that k&n with some more air

The rims

Are made by Konig. I wanted something to set apart the car from other White Maximas around town. They are called "Rated R". 18X7.5.

Well about 2 weeks after they were on the car, guess what else I see? An SE with the same wheels and the same color. I still stand out. NO Spoiler. I like it that way.

What do you recommend for tire size. I am either gunna order a 225/40-18 or a 235/40-18. NOt that its much of a difference. How high do the 225/45 series tires sit compared to 40?

Hey man, I just bought a bike, I LOVE IT. I put 20's on my maxima, so I would never really drive too fast, and the bike more than compensates for my "Need For Speed". It was the best decision I ever made. I take it to work, and in the Fall I'll take it to school. The thing gets 40 miles to the gallon. It saves miles on the Maxima, and in my opinion, it was a great $6000 investment. Just make sure you know how to ride it before you hop on and think you're a pro, (personal experience)...Enjoy man, and good luck with the bike.

I have had some riding experience on bikes before. I always rode dirt bikes, then and now, and my dads harley everynow and then. I have ridden bikes with buddies, but I still have alot to learn. Good thing I am pickin a 600 and not anything bigger.
