K&N Filter: Too small or just right?

K&N Filter: Too small or just right?
Hey guys
I'm using a K&N filter that's exactly like this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWN%3AIT
Like the title states, is this the right size or is it too small? The filter that came with my CAI pipe was bigger.

that's the right size - it's just shaped differently than the generic cone filter you probably got with your CAI

www.knfilters.com Browse the site. It's probably biased but oh well.

Raed the tech article about surface area. IMO, with lightly modded cars, this aspect doesn't make a difference so sleep better at night knowing that.

As long as it fits a 3" pipe or whatever, it should fit.

As long as the tube size is right and it seals on your tube it is OK. I have one that has a smaller cone too and it works fine.
