Clutch stuck to floor!!!!!
Clutch stuck to floor!!!!!
Hey what up all, I was trying to find a sticky on this but could not. My girl was driving my 92 SE 5 speed. She was going up a hill and she says the clutch just stuck to da floor. She couldn't swicth gears or anything. Mechanic said that the clucth will need to be replaced... Shyt!! Can anybody verify this???? Pls help!!
.... Hmmm Interesting!! There was some fluid leaking. She was able to drive it back to where she was going, so I'll have to check it out. But she said it was some brownish fluid. Where is the clutch resovour? It's on the drivers side right?
More than likely it is a bad master cylinder. You can get the repair kit from your local parts store for under $20 and do it yourself in an hour if you are somewhat mechanically inclined. The master cylinder/reservour is on the firewall directly in front of the clutch pedal.
this summer the same thing happened to me 3 times,on my talon tsi.. one time the upper master, and two time the lower one.. and the first time it was not funny.. the lower one is in the car so it blow out.. oil on my feet and on the pedals.. i had to brake because of some moron in front and it was so hard to keep my foot on the brake, it was to slipery..

My max had a clutch hose start to leak.
I was replacing it last weekend, but it got way tooo cold.. should finish it tomm
the bolts are a pita to get to.. damn engineers couldnt make a recess in the block so it would be easier? grrrrrrr
You said she was able to drive the car after this incident? Your clutch is fine. If you needed a new clutch, you wouldn't have been going anywhere.
I would check into your master cylinder, and all other mentioned possible failures... And not let ANYONE drive it. Male, female, whatever. Only I know everything that's wrong or could potentially be wrong with my car. Driving it without taking some of those things into consideration will surely screw other stuff up
