i always start out by easing the clutch. once im off the clutch and around 1000 - 1200 rpms, ill floor it. sometimes ill have to wait a sec for something to happen and then itll pull pretty good, then other times ill punch it, and the wheels will hardly grip all the way through first gear. the knock sensor checks out and ive tried the 470k ohm resistor mod. also when i push in the clutch comming up to a stop sign, itll hover around 1000-1100rpms then drop to idle, then come back up to about 1000 when i stop. whats wrong?

 

Check your ethrottle.

Could it be a 5spd swap? That could be why the rpms don't drop all the way...?

 

Is it staying at 1100 long before droppping to idle? if it's a second or under, pretty normal.

Starts, might want to rev a bit higher before dropping the clutch on the dragstrip. Not sure what the consensus is for the Maxima but the spec-v was 2200 optimal afaik

 

Weather conditions, road conditions, air conditions, temperature out; all have effects on what your 0-60 will be. Just because you hit it on one street and your tires break lose then you go down the block and hit it again, and nothing breaks lose doesnt meen that your car is faulty.
