The best way to gun an auto is to...

  1. Just floor it
  2. Floor it and turn o/d off when it's in 4th. Gear
  3. Floor it while having o/d off to begin with and turning it back on when 3rd gear almost redlines

4. Press on the brake and lightly rev the engine up, proceed to release brake and watch yourself pull ahead of the competition. Dont look down though, the site of your automatic shifter may make you sick

I would say just hold the brake down and step on the gas right before you go. You'll peel out. Weeee. Really not good for the trans either way.

Isn't holding the brake down and stepping on the gas= brake torque.

Depress the accelerator until you feel it snug against the floor. The wonders of the Nissan Maxima automatic transmission will do the rest for you.

Tie your foot to a piece of lead and lay on the gas pedal.
