Hey guys, I was thinking of lowering my maxima b/c I know a guy that can help me out if I just get all the parts I need to do it. Just wondering if anyone else on here has done it and if they like it or not. I was also wondering if anyone had any pics of their lowered maxima?

Thanks!!

I think darn near all of us have! You'd get a shorter list to ask who hasn't. BTW, get a set of Eibach's and Tokico's and you're done. Cheers!

That reminds me of how I was back when I had the old max. I used to order parts like crazy and then keep em sitting at the shop collecting dust. And then I would install them all at once. Well I think your collection of mods has gotten big enough.. it's time to install them. Then you can go with me to Atco and test your max out. I still have AIM (Most of the time I use AOHELL.. SN: SkyMaxSE).. I'm usually on late at night. Sometimes I avoid using AIM when Maximamike is on... he usually harrasses me. lol j/k

just cut like 3 coils off your stock springs. you'll save about $200 in new springs, and around $100 for the install.

Don't worry about the manifold.. it doesn't give you any power anyway (unless you have boost). I'm not sure what I'm doing this week or next week. If you want to go to Etown, that's fine with me.. Atco is closer to me & you so that's why I suggested it. Etown is a better track though. Or if you want, you can come over to Maple Grove Raceway on a grudge night. They don't require a helmet. It doesn't matter to me where we go.

the manifold is a "show" thing which is why i want it done b4 MAXUS...when i get the exhaust actually put on we'll talk about when a good time to go would be and where...i don't really care which track either...atco just leaves a bad taste in my mouth everytime i go...

Hmm.. let's see, Nitrous or Eibach springs.. I chose the nitrous.. I honestly don't care how low the car is as long as it's fast..

I lowered the Max with Tokicos/Eibachs and am very happy. Also added FSTB. Looks good and handles better than a 10 year old car has a right to! I can handle as well as or better than my friend's 2000 Jetta 1.8T.

Ewww... Don't cut the stock springs. Been there done that. Handling & Comfort is a joke. You feel every slight bump on the road. Anytime you want to corner hard, the rear end breaks lose and you start to fish-tail. If your going to cut springs, do it to aftermarket springs that have a strong spring rate such as Sprint springs.

Atleast an inch drop. I think the average is 1.5" drop.

I have the eibach/tokico combo with ST bars.

No one ever shows how good the maxima looks even when its dirty. So I'll be the first.
