Apexi V-AFC II & S-AFC II

If the Apexi V-AFC II is supposed to be better then the Apexi S-AFC II then why do most people have the S-AFC and not the other? I am only asking because I am going to purchase one very soon and am a bit confused as to which one I should get.
Thanks

This question has been asked a thousand times, probably more.

VAFC is better.

The reason people get/got the safc is because either they didn't know at the time they bought safc that the VAFC has more set points, or basically, they still don't know it's better.

I'm the first case. Get the vafc and get double the tuning points.

Which is the one that you can't put in the sun glass holder? Is it the V-AFC?

Unless you extend the wire harness.

you can hide it. how about the glove-box? or just extend the wires and put it in the sunglass holder.

These posts are very similar to each other.

Consolidation at its best. Helps those who never read an answer given to them.

From what I hear V-AFC II will not extend to the sunglass holder.

Uh, isn't that why he said to extend the wires? I think we all know that it doesn't reach the sunglass holder.

Do you understand the concept of extending wires?

Add a length of wire that allows the unit to be installed in the sunglass holder.

Meaning wire that does not exsist on the VAFC needs to be added in order for it to be placed in the area of interest.

He only had one asnswer, and he made no mention about the glovebox.

And when you agree, this symbol is better than echoing IMO ------>

Uh, he could have just been referring to extending the original wires to the sunglass holder.

Why? It had already been establushed and all you did was make it look as if you didn;t read the post where it had been mentioned.

I wasn't trying to be a smart ass just trying to help you understand the concept of extending wires.

extend meaning make longer, not take the twisty tab off the wires so they reach further.

just get the VAFCII and call it a day...its cheap and effective....I heard emanage ultimate takes about $600 to get it up and running....then u gotta pay tuning etc...AFCII is only about $250 or so...nearly half the price!

IMO, unless you plan on modding the crap out of yer car...like cams, pistons, valves....stick with the AFCII...if u plan to go that route...then yes, emanage ultimate it is!

I got mine on eBay used for 175 shipped. I also lost another auction because I was the phone and forgot about it; that final price was 170 shipped for a used unit.

If you look around the Classifieds here as well, people are selling SAFCIIs and VAFCIIs for decent prices these days.

You're forgetting that the EU does a lot more than the VAFCII as well....
