Are high 13's possible with a finely tuned 3.5 swap and vb mod for my auto?

This might be a repost but I've almost decided on a 3.5 in my 98 max(auto)..and im just curious to the possibilty of acheiving high 13's in my auto?...ofcourse id do the vb mod for better shifts and better track times...

any feedback please?, thanks, Rick

A 3.5 swap (5spd) can hit 13's, and Auto with VB, and good tuning should be able to hit it also.

you can hit 13's in a 3.5 swap 5 spd w/o tuning. i imagine in an auto w/ tuning you should be able to as well

Yes it wouldn't be a problem just don't expect the auto to last very long.

yeah, im getting the parts together and selling parts (i got another parts car, if you need anything, let me know), but i'm doing a 3.5 with 350z manifold, and i'll try and get it tuned, and then some nitrous to top it off.

I've hit a low 13.3 with zero tuning in 80 degree weather, 20-pound wheels and a 3-4 shift like 2 seconds before the line. 5-speed on slicks but auto 3.5's aren't much slower, really.

ive always admired your car JClaw....holy crap thats amazing, a 13.3! .. I guess you gotta update your sig then from the 13.6 to the 13.3 ..

yeah ive read many posts stating the huge difference in a 3.0-auto to a manual and that the difference between the 6 speed and auto 3.5 isnt as bad as the difference for the 3.0 ..

dayum now that I think about it, a small shot of nos could get you into 12's JClaw!

I keep the 13.6 time because it was done in 100% street trim with nothing removed, and the trap shows more of the car's potential than the 13.3 slicked time. I've always felt that it had more in it with slicks because of the heavy rims... like a 13.1@104
