Reset ECU With Viper 791XV installed

Hey, this might be a dumb question, im gonna be installing a y-pipe soon and i want to reset the ecu to take in consideration of the y-pipe. I know you have to disconnect the battery connection in order to do that. But I know when i got the viper 791 installed it said in the manual if the battery is low or disconnected the car will try to start its self.

I was wondering by disconnecting the battery will i loose all the information in the brain of the alarm and have to get it re-programed?

Any problems after reseting with the alarm?

I don't think you need to reset your ECU for it to recognize your y-pipe. After driving awhile it should learn that it is there and reprogram (not sure if that is the correct word or phrase) itself.
