OR

See all of these in individual players on my Car Domain site (with other pictures and time slips).

I have full slips for anyone wanting to see them (as well as weather conditions, etc).

ENJOY!!!

Yeah, I knew him. He was my son's karate instructor. He has a sweet 350Z, but simply does not know how to launch it. I think that was his very first time at a drag strip.

Video 3 rocks ! shame shame shame !

The first video, the 350 ran a 10.5. He is a 6 speed and had never run at a track. He kept forgetting to turn off his traction control.

I am actually notorious at that track for taking down Mustang GT's (well, those close to stock anyway). My night of glory came when I took down a 2002 GT, a 2001 GT, a 97 Cobra, a 92 GT, and a late 80's GT. When I beat the Cobra (who was definetly having problems), I had a couple of rough looking gentlemen approach me in the staging lanes after the run. They told me to step out of the car (thinking I was going to get my a$$ beat). They asked if I was spraying, I said no. They wanted to go over the car and make sure. When they saw that I was indeed running NA, one of the guys got mad, threw down his hat, and handed the other guy a $20 bill. He had lost a bet on the Cobra and my race, then bet I was spraying. That night I also left the track with a busted motor mount. :-)

That was Naijai's 4th gen. He is on the board here somewhere. He now has a black Infinity I-30.

My car in full race prep (removed front passenger seat, rear bench and back, no jack or tools) with my lard butt in it weighs 3300 pounds (weight confirmed my the track scales).

Best was a 14.01 @ 100, but that has been a while back. I rarely run a 1/4 mile (a. I hate that track, never had a good experience there, b. it is 2 hours away) The 1/8th mile is nearly in my back yard.

well 8.9 (1/8th) sounds awefully close to 13.8/13.9 range

The 8's and the 13's have been like a unicorn to me. When I finally got into the 8's I jumped for joy. Once I get tuned, (blah, blah, typical benchracer talk), I am hoping to see an 8.6 at 81.5 or so.

Nice runs, i love the vids! Especially love the story about the mustangs.. I've had something similar happen at the track too.. sometimes they just don't know any better

What kind of 60ft times are you pulling on the DR's?

I rarely get to a 1/4 mile, but before the mods I had to get me in the 8's (in the 1/8th), I had ran a best of 14.01 at 100. I need to get back to the 1/4 when I am at full strength (hopefully soon).
