Drag time?

Guys I need a little quick help.
I was at Moroso yesterday for the import drag wars in Pompano Beach, I got to see some amazing stuff.
Like an 8 sec 206 mph twin turbo Toyota Solara!
A 9 sec GS300!

And a bunch of local guys and street racers great time.
I want to run my Max in the next test and tune, but i dont want to do it on the NISMO 19's so i am looking to buy some 17's with Nitto drag radials so I can tear up and down the strip.

Would the 17's from the 2k1 -2k3 Max fit out cars? I want to keep on modding while visting the track and see how things improve.

So what do you guys recommed for wheels? and drag tires.

Thanks
VQ

Those 17s would fit but they are quite heavy if your looking to lose some rotating mass. Check out the drag forum. Good info in there.

That Solara must have been Paul or Kris efantis. He was in maryland last year.

Im looking for some 17s as well. You prolly dont want the 02-03 17s though. Too heavy and they arent wide enough. Im gonna eventually get some 17x9s and put some wide radials on it for drag racing. Its just hard to find cheap 17s in that size.

The 2k-2k1 wheels might not clear the brakes.

If your looking for just drag racing rims, I would look for some 15" or 16" light weight rims. Just my 2 cents.

I dont think smaller wheels other than 17's will fit? I currently have 19" NISMO wheels. they only weight 20 pounds each. How much lighter should I go? What tires are recommended?
What should my car run the 1/4 in with the Greddy exhaust, Injen CAI, Y pipe? What should I expect?
thanks
