Received this from Brian today.... Cattman! Regarding 2K+ Maxima upgrades

"there are the new front and rear all-fabricated engine mounts for 5-speeds by Place Racing, guaranteed for life and only $275/pair, they make a surprising overall difference in the behavior of the car as well as killing wheel hop off the line. Quaife differential's coming up soon for the 5-speed too, first week of September, for $1445 regular price or $1250 if you get in on the advance purchase deal."

"I'd have to recommend the new coilover suspension we'll have out in a couple of weeks for a car you're spending so much money and effort on. Total and absolute versatility, every possible adjustment, ability to drop it onto the tires for show or set it up just right for street or
racing. Smooth confidence and the most grins per dollar, at $1800, complete with everything needed, including externally adjustable KYB AGX struts and state-of-the-art overtower camber plates in the front and overtower mounts in the rear."

Hmmmm.... AGX's are out (for 4th gen), you can get the coilovers from GC, maybe Cattman will sell the overtower camber plates.

$500 (struts) + $400 (coilovers) + camber plates (let's say $300) = $1200 which is < $1800

.

Oops, forgot to count the rear overtower plates (that's if he is willing to sell them separately from the kit). Tack on $250 because I overpriced the front plates.

$1200 + $250 = $1450 < $1800

kev, i think the front plates are $600 (i'm talking about the plates that go on top of the fstb brackets)...they are forged billet aluminum...they look really nice, i've seen them before, but i'd have to see results to pay that kind of money

i'm still thinking about the hd engine mounts...he emailed me back and said i would have to talk to his show (maxrev) next time i'm there about pricing but it is not as difficult as i thought...don't have to lift the motor, they go from underneith

The mounts listed are for 5spds, not autos... or does he have them for autos too?

I've seen his plates at Maxima Day. They looked alright, but I noticed he uses 2 hex bolts to hold the strut rod in place (versus 4 with the Eibachs).

Alright, total price is $1500 which is still $300 cheaper... not to mention GC's are Eibach springs.
