The first run was a 13.40.. Someone had blown up a car in the right lane.. and it was slick.. So, I spun the **** out of the tires.. The left lane proved more effective. Smile

So, that's 2 VQ Spec's in the 12's..

oh.. this is a stock VQ35, with Stone Racing VQ30 headers/y-pipe, 2.5" exhaust, and CAI, on 22x8 MT slicks.

travis do you know the weight of the sentra? i have gotten my 4th gen down to 2649 lbs without driver, with driver she tips the scales in at 2859 lbs. I have another 25 lbs coming off the car in a few months which would put my 4th gen around 2834 lbs with driver.

Im wanting to drop the VQ35DE in my 4th gen and was curious if the car is light enough to come close to the low 13's, high 12's you are seeing in the sentras?

I have managed a 1.97 60 foot with some hoosier drag radials im running, really good tire , looks like a cheater slick of sorts. just trying to prepare for next season in the all motor class here and wanted your thoughts on realistic times ?

thanks and keep up the good work, i used to live over in mississippi and its a darn shame i cant just swing by your shop, dump the engine and hit the track, going to be more of a hassle but i think its going to be worth it.

If you get the Sentra without the fancy audio system, sunroof, etc.. The weight is around 2650lbs. The VQ weighs about 60lbs more than the QR.. so, figure about 2710lbs or so. The passenger, and rear seats, spare tire, jack, and trunk board/carpet probably weigh in the neighborhood of 70lbs.. so, the weight is most likely 2640lbs.. give or take. I think the ratio's in the SE-R gearbox help out too..

Congrats on the times. Again. You are getting good at making sentras really, really fast.

Stone Racing VQ30 headers/y-pipe
Why?

I figure that it's better than stock headers/y-pipe.. and for 250.00, why not.. we have to fab up a y-pipe for this swap as it is... and these headers on a VQ35 HAVE to make more power than stock VQ30 headers would. This car is definately making more power.. If it's just the y-pipe doing it.. who cares.. it was 250.00, for stainless headers and a y-pipe.
