Is it possilble to see 13's.

I'm just wondering if its at all possible to ever see 13 second 1/4's out of the max without nos or turbo/supercharger? I know there are some bolt-ons out there with lots of HP claims (that i have over half of), but I'm def not even close to 13's from what i think. I will be running my car soon but my expectations are mid to high 14's. And I ask this question becasue I want more out of my max.

BTW HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

well that cardomain member is doing 13.9 with a 150 shot of juice..

you will need to get 150hp from somewhere without it. you will probably need to do everymod out there lol..

look into cams, pistons, ECU ect ect, not your simple bolt on stuff..

Once we have some headers it should be doable with some good traction.

just use the pistons made for the 350 z, they are all the same... cams also.

for headers if you don't wanna wait go with hot shot's, they fit confirmed by an altima guy with our engine..

once I get some bills out the way this month and next, I will get the turbo along with the hot shots, injectors and such. it will be a progress after that..

Who did you here from that the headers fit our cars? I know theres some 05 guys using the hotshots on altimas, but I dont see how that guy knows that they are the same.

an altima guy blew his engine on his car, he came across one of our engines and he kept his hot shot headers with it, they must fit..

if it wasn't for another mod, I would try it.. I spoke to my dyno shop about it already..

isn't that a low psi for nos? I would think 1200 psi was normal...

if thats the case you can run into 13's for sure..

150 shot? and only 13.9 thats really bad, on wat year maxima was that done? because on 75shot alone a 4th gen should be in low 14's(5sp).

well in my opinion its all depends on how bad you want it ! i would say you would have a hell of an easier time seeing 13's than what i had to go through. you have the engine, you just got to setup the car to do it !

logik05se, it nice to be rich. If you get soft tires for the front, I suspect that you could shave 1/2 -1 sec. Check out the tire review from Car & Driver, december 05.

You're probably not going to shave .7 seconds with slicks even, let alone DRs. DRs are usually good for .2-.3 seconds, and slicks are usually good for .4-.5, usually.

It depends on how good your 60 foot is on street tires already. If you're 60-footing 2.3-2.4 on street tires sticky tires might make a big difference but if you're already in the 2.0 range on street tires you aren't going to see a 0.5-1 second gain. You aren't going to get much better than 1.8's on DR's...

While that is of course possible, I think it is unlikely that anyone who is only able to manage 2.3s and 2.4s on street tires will have the skill to cut 1.8s or 1.9s, heck even maybe even 2.0s, on DRs.

I couldnt consistently get good 60 fts. I know most of the time I averaged around 2.3s and 2.4s so I assume DRs would help my times if I could pull 2.0s on em. The only time I ever got a 60 ft that was significantly better was when I pulled random 2.0 outa nowhere on my stock street tires. That was also my best time of 14.3.

I don't know about 6th gen, but looking at their stock times, I dont think it would be hard to cut 13's since i've seen many slips showing low to mid 14's stock, and you sure as hell dont need 150shots, may be just a few 'real' performance mods would easily get you into 13's if you know how to drive.
