those guys at altimas.net told me to come here to find you maxima guys! fearing that the maxima was more of a large family sedan instead of a mid-sized family sedan, i originally overlooked the maxima. besides, they come with too much power stock. hehe, so yes, here's the info, hope you guys can come! (sorry if wrong forum, didn't see any events & gathering forums thoe.)
RANDOM SOCAL FAMILY SEDAN GTG!!!
what:
this is an informal gtg for family sedans. while i have gone around and will be posting this info on other enthusiast forums, this began as a passat gtg. i hope the passat people will come out and represent since i'm not sure how much representation the other crowds will have. of course, everyone is welcome to come, but this is centered around the mid-sized family sedan market segment. so passats, accords, camrys, altimas, and basically anything with 4 doors and didn't come with a sticker cost over $30k cost too much are invited as the target audience. while this is geared towards that crowd/class, like i said, anyone with any car is welcome! this is for anyone who appreciates automobiles, especially when modified! keep in mind this is a friendly meet and hopefully it'll stay that way. friendly rivalry is expected but please don't bring or cause trouble. many of us get enough harassment as it is. if you don't appreciate another person's car or their tastes, keep it to yourself. if you can't appreciate, at least respect or keep your mouth shut. let's keep this friendly and constructive. we're all here to share our common passion. be good little boys and girls!
when:
6:00pm-?:??, wednesday, june 20, 2001
i hope many of you will be able to come by after work. at 6:00pm, there'll still be 2-3 hours left of sunshine before the parking lot lights go on to continue lighting the place up for us. i'll try to gather some guys to be there as early as 5:00 if possible so there's some people there already. once we gather, everyone is free to mill about and mingle, check out other people's cars, meet new people, and get some nice fresh burgers to consume in the restaurant or outside with everyone else!
where:
in-n-out burger
17849 e. colima rd.,
city of industry, ca
if you need directions, mapquest can help you. the 605 and the 57 both connect close to this segment of the 60.
since it seems like many gtgs occur in orange country, this one will be located further north this time. sorry OC people, hope you guys still are able to come by!
we'll be gathering somewhere in the parking lot around in-n-out. preferablly a little bit further from the actual restaurant because we don't want to crowd the normal customers. it should be easy to spot this in-n-out if you're driving on colima. its right by the side of the road in a big long strip mall with some random stores. also, this is really close to speedzone or the puente hills mall for any of those who've ever been there or knoes where that is.
conclusion:
we're not expecting much as this is just an informal meet but hopefully quite a few of you guys will come out and show your cars! this will be a great opportunity to check out what other people have done to their cars, see wonderful sights, meet new friendly people, or just talk shop. we all have family sedans (okay, some are coupes, heh) so let's see what the others are like!
please post whether or not you'll be attending so we can get an idea of how many people will be going. that way we'll knoe what to expect! if this gets out of hand, we'll move to a larger location.
thanks and hope to see you all there!
