updat on SC'd 3.5L

Figured i would post this in here also for you motor heads

Well after weeks of waiting on parts and waiting on the shop the motor should be in the car tommorow. The motor is all put together except for the fuel rail and intake manifold. It looks like the DE-K fuel rail will work except we are going to cutt the mounting tabs off and re-weld them in the necessary positions. Everything went together smoothly which is not a normal thing for me

The setup is as follows:
3.5L SC'd w/ 2.87 pulley
26x6x3 bar and plate intercooler w/ 3" pipes
cooling mist methanol injection
CAI mod
Nismo 3.5L R-tune cams
ARP rod bolts
DEK fuel rail (return style)
PF thorttle body w/ stephenmax mounting adapter
Hotshot headers
ATP 3" cuttout
Power Enterprise 510cc injectors
Emanage Blue w/ injector and ignition harness
Zeitronix Wideband O2

Everybody please keep their fingers crossed that we can get this thing to fire up tommorow

Cool....

Why don't you just make the 2k2 fuel rail into a return style? (like I did)

Well it is just more straight forward. That way we can keep the fuel setup exactly like it was which leaves less bugs to work out.

Since you already have an aftermarket FPR, you would just T off before the Fuel rail and Y to each of the fuel rails.

You make the hard things simple and the simple things hard.

BTW are you coming to BWW tomorrow, I would like those cams KTHX.

sorry to pull your legs here chris, but you do need to show up to BWW to return some stuff. Spig's been too nice to help me out, don't make him and me have to go to your house and drop some asian raids...

Oh, by the way, I have just received news about Nissan building up an assembly plant down here in Livingston Parish. Heard the plant is 2 miles long. Internships to engineering students are offered at 18 bucks per hour. I wish I didn't sign up with Baker Hughes' New Orleans position so I can go for Nissan's internship.

No deal dude, I cannot back out from Baker Hughes since I've signed the papers; but I definitely will try to hook up an internship next summer with Nissan. Love to see those new VQ's being put into a car. If I get in Nissan later, I'll defly hook you up, Chris.

Chris is running VQ35 heads. However he is using the VQ30 timing chain setup and oil pans. This allows him to use the VQ30 ecu and sensors, he only has to sacrifice the VTC and he will have to start with the VQ30 tune which he has to custom tune anyway.

Running VQ30 heads on a VQ35 would raise compression, which is a bad idea for turbo. VQ35 heads are also supposed to flow better.

Dude, Chris, that zhit has been in the shop for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too long. I told you already. Loc is going to "loc" you up. Well, this is point of no return. Best wishes. I think when you car gets done, I'll be in New Orleans doing an internship drill'n for oil. Also, I'm buying your charge pipe setup. Payment will be ready on June 20th. Sorry for the latenesslinessliness. So stop sell'n that thang on the org. I'm dibb'n it.

And yes, "Cams" will most likely go back in that engine at the end of the summer. If not, this winter.
