Plastic caps on fuel injector nozzles...?!?!?!?!
Plastic caps on fuel injector nozzles...?!?!?!?!
Does anybody know where i can get the plastic cap that goes over the nozzle on the fuel injectors? i got new injectors with no caps... the dealer doesnt sell them....
I broke a few of the pintle caps while pulling the injectors out this past weekend so I will be looking for some eventually too. I'm going to try the local junkyard or search around online. I found this guy randomly on ebay, but he might be able to source them for you:

From what I've gathered, you don't necessarily need the pintle caps for the injectors to work. I think the purpose is just help direct drips of fuel away from the injector opening so it doesn't clog it up eventually. I'm not too sure if it affects the actual spray pattern.

well heres what is happening.. i broke the the caps then installed the new injectors... and im getting a missfire when im at a traffic light.. so i put the old injectors in (which worked) and still a missfire.. there is nothing else wrong with the car... but i noticed that the bottom O ring (where the pintle is) sticks out and is crooked... im worried that the fuel leaks out throught that area and is causing a missifire... thats why believe the pintles are necessary.. correct me if im wrong..
