every place I have called looking for a 3.5 tells me that nothing comes with it in the price they list, like no alternator, no coils..ect. all that comes is the basic motor with out anything u need to run it. So do I keep looking til I find a complete motor? or will the 3.0 things swap over?

 

hmmm you use all the 3.0 alternators, starter, ac and stuff like that....only thing you need from the 3.0 is the timing case, all the chain and stuff. a used motor comes with coils and all the wiring. Have you read the sticky? i advise you to read it.

 

If you absolutely must have everything, then buy a "front clip"

Alternator, A/C, P/S, etc. are all compatible with both the VQ30 and VQ35. So you just use what you already have.

The starter is on the tranny so it only changes if the tranny changes (i.e. to a 6spd).

Coils are different. Most used motors come with that though that I have seen.
