I'm not much for smoking. I want to replace my cigarette lighter with a plug, and if possible, I would also like to replace or convert my ash tray into another storage area. Currently, I just toss my coins into the ash tray, but if I could modify it into something a little more "elegant" that would be nice.

Where can I find a plug?

Any ideas on converting the ash tray?

I have a Non-smoking max, but it still has the ashtray, front and back. Only thing different is that it has the plug instead of the lighter. Sorry man, no ideas.

 

Thanks for your reply. I asked Courtsey Nissan the same question and got a similar reponse=> "part# 25335-89981 @ $8.13 for plug but we do not offer anything for the ashtray".

Too bad, I would have enjoyed pulling out the ashtray and putting in a open storage space.

I am not sure if you are just kidding, but if you are serious, I am keeping the lighter so I have it when the day comes to sell the car.

 

I've seen a few folks with a modular radar detector, the kind with remote antennas, mount the display in the ashtray. Might be something to think about.
