Hi. I was wondering if anyone knows what type of grease to use for the tracks on the sunroof. Thanks!

This is an old thread I'm bringing back because I searched and couldn't find an answer. Does anyone know if any maintenance is needed for the sunroof. The grease that's in the tracks now looks like wheel bearing grease. Should the tracks be cleaned out and regreased?
Thank you

I'm just guessing but...

Wheel bearing grease seems very thibck until it gets warm/hot, so i wouldn't use it on the sunroof. I would probably go with a lithium type grease. i have it in a spray can. Or maybe some type of silicone grease.

They make a high-temperature silicone based grease for brake calipers; I think I would try that.
