I love the AE Pedals and want to order the ones sold on Courtesyparts.com. My questions are:

1. Do they void the warranty if put on?

2. How hard are they to install? (I can put gas in a car and that's about it guys, I don't know crap about car maintenance)

3. For anyone that has them, do you prefer them?

4. I read where Maxima.org members get 25% off. Is this true? Is this represented in the price we see on the web page?

Thanks...

that all depends on your nissan dealership...mine will void the entire tranny warranty if you are wearing a hat of some sort

they keep trying to charge me for so much $hit that SHOULD be under warranty

get the pedals...if the nissan place gives you crap, put your old pedals back on and go to a different dealer...takes all of 15 minutes to change pedals

I took my car to the dealership and they said nothing about the pedals; however, I most most all of the AE components except the body kit.

The pedals can be easy or hard to install, depending on when the car was manufactured. There seems to be an overlap of parts/application details in terms of how the gas pedal assembly was made. Look on the backside of the gas pedal and see if there is a black medal bracket your present gas pedal is attached to. If the bracket is present, you'll have to order an entire gas pedal assembly or be willing to hack off the brack. If you simply have a rod back there, it is pretty much plug-n-play, with the help of a plastic grommet.

This is what mdeal is talking about. See the black rectangular plate in the mirror - if you have that - tough luck. It's only applicable to REALLY early built 2000's though.

yea but you can but it with the lever assembly and it only costs like 30 cents more... seriously... hehe i was laughing when i found out... i have a late 2000 built... most of the stuff in my car is like that of a 2001, like the intake without the L-pipe and resonator... but i ordered the whole arm thingie.. i guess it will be just easier to replace the whole thing... but the shift **** is the part that sux... i wanna get the AE shifter but i dont wanna have to custom make that part.... the shifter assembly costs like $200+ dollars... and the **** costs like $100... so thats like over $300 to have a AE ****... hmmm is it worth it? i dunno maybe eventually... but i can think of a few mods that i wouldnt mind having before that...

psing23, did you inquire at a junk yard about a used shift assembly?

nope but thats a good idea... either i can find a AE (which is prob. really hard cause it just came out and is pretty rare) or i can get a regular 2000-2001 and just try to play around with it... hopefully i could find an AE one though...
