I got a '01 SE that has a metal on metal tick or rattle in
the left rear brake (I think) that I hear when I go over certain bumps. I believe that it is the brake because, the noise is non-existant if the brakes are applied while going over bumps. My dealer has replaced the brake pad retainer clips and the calipers but it has not helped. Any ideas?

**** Man I have the same problem! But mines int he front right brake. I took it to nissan and the rotored the disc and did some other stuff but i think its when you brake had it heats up the disc so it warps! Its doing it again cause I was driving it today, and I could feel rattling in the steering wheel!

Are your sure it is not the car jack in the right rear of the car rattling around?

I "think" the jack is in the right side of the trunk....

I know this is old but Im hoping to get an answer to this problem. I have the same problem in all four wheels I believe. Mainly the rears. Its only when Im driving. Temp doesnt matter, speed doesnt matter. But when I hit the brakes it goes away. Its not the tire jack, its in the brakes somewhere. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Its driving me nuts and its embarassing.
