4th gen UDP compatible with VQ35??

I know I have read it here somewhere but I just cant find it... I'm looking into getting the motostorm UDP but I want to make sure it will fit on the VQ35-- I plan on doing the swap later in the year... it'd be a waste of money buying it and them having to get rid of it if it doesnt fit. Thanks in advance!!

I have the motorstorm pulley on my 3.5. Fits fine just had to grind a little due to the crank sensor hitting it. No big deal.

I think you can just completely remove the timing ring for a 4th gen MS pulley to fit on a 5th gen car.

Here is the thread...Read post #17

A while back, I had gone to this local import shop to have them install my headers, and the guy there was asking me what i had...so I told him. And then I mentioned that I was looking into getting the UDP-- He told me it was a waste of money. That it really wouldnt do much.

I wasnt sure whether to believe him or not.... My brother has a civic hatchback w/ a B-18 in it, and he said it made a big diiference on his car when the UDP was put on--- I would imagine it would help out but I'm not an expert--- What are the results?? Did you guys notice a big difference??

If there is a difference, you certainly will not feel it.

Yeah the stock pulley is ugly as hell too and motorstorm is only 90 bucks or so so I figured what the hell. It's more of a combinasion of things. Removing AC, power steering, an UDP and a shorter belt might be worth 10whp together.

Idividually you won't feel them, but together they do make a difference (other than your forearms being huge). It's like weight reduction, everything adds up. That's why I tend to do everything at the same time. When you get back in the car the "holy crap!" factor is higher.

I would remove the power steering, but not the A/c-- its hellah hot over here!!! I might try that out during the winter time...

So all in all, is it worth the 100.00??
