Which do you guys out there prefer Tein Basic Dampers or KSport. I know Tein is good, but rather bouncy. I dont know much about KSport, since i dont know anyone who currently rides on this setup.

 

Between the two I would go with Ksports, since you'd have more adjustability.

if your question is more of which is of more quality. . . I think the teins maybe.

 

Quality is about the same with both types; Tein may have spent a little more time in development, but their products break just as often as Ksport's (i.e. very rarely).

Ksports are easier to install.

Tein Basics ride slightly smoother in some cases.

Ksports handle better on flat, smooth roads. Tein Basics handle better on rough roads.

Ksports are much more adjustable (height, damping, spring preload, and front camber, vs. just height for the Tein Basics).

Ksports make a little more noise in some cases because they are slightly more complicated (due to their adjustability), but noises can easily be prevented with proper installation.

 

See the thing i dont know if Teins would be better. They have been around for a longer time, but their coilover system is really bouncy. I was wondering if anyone on here has any bouncing problems with the Ksport or D2's if you got 'em...

 

My D2s are bouncy and it really isnt nice. It bounces more then our jeep cherokee. And I cant seem to find a solution or what causes it.

 

I think there might be some confusion about what's bouncy and what's stiff. Tein Basics are definitely stiff, but I've never heard of them being very bouncy (except MAYBE when they're totally slammed).

Ksports and D2s are stiffer than Tein Basics, at least in the front. They can also be very bouncy unless you dial out the preload and get the damping set correctly. Don't forget, with damping, sometimes more is better -- on the Ksports, the full-hard setting rides better than the 2/3 hard setting.
