what parts have copper, brass, or bronze??

does anyone know what parts in a 4th gen VQ have copper, brass, or bronze?? my last oil sample showed elevated copper, but all other metals were very low. so it can't be a bearing, or I'd have high lead too. so where do you think this copper is coming from? timing chain tensioner? it has been a little noisy lately. thanks.

pretty much the only place they use copper is in bearings.. the VE uses bronze valve guides and copper/bronze bearings in the timing chain intermediate pulleys.. on a VQ I'm not sure, but those are the only two places I really see it in my engine..

definitely keep an eye on it. also talk to blackstone or whoever you had analyze the oil.. they can often give you some advice on what to look for and expect with the results.

if you're interested, here's the thread I've got going over on bitog. general concensus is the copper is from the fuel adds I used, and I tend to agree...
