My 2002 I35 seems to have an excessive wind noise problem. I've had some complaints from backseat passengers about it. It's not coming from any of the windows but instead seems to be coming from the roof over the backseat ( sunroof maybe?). I remember reading something about a foam piece that would fix this in another I35 thread but can't seem to find it (can't use search function). Can someone please tell me some specifics about this foam piece and where to get it and get this problem fixed? Also is this problem addressed in any Nissan/Infiniti TSB's? Can I get this fixed for free?

 

If you're under warranty the dealership should take care of it regardless.

Maybe your sunroof is sitting too high or too low?

Don’t know about the foam piece, but I’m currently searching for a DIY thread related to wind noise due to sunroof improper positioning when closed. Also, do you have a wind deflector for your sunroof and/or windows?

 

Thanks for the responses. As for the wind deflectors, no I don't have any installed. Would this possibly fix the problem?
