the deal for the Carbon FIber/ Carbon Kevlar Hoods is closing in 1 week.

we have 14 orders already. and we just need a few more to hit $450 each.
(we need 6 more.)

if we hit 10 more, we get em for $425 EACH.

Hey Uncle I thought u said that you are going to mold some body parts together and reverse the hood like a Bimmer.

Yup

But I gotta figure how to get around the strut tower. I don't want to weak'n the frame by doing it. Plus I wouldn't mind molding in the CF hood it would be lighter to lift.

can you give me some info on the hood? is it 100% carbon fibre, or is it underlayed with fibreglass? are the holes predrilled for hoodpins, or does it retain stock mounts? im going to have my guy email you for some info on hoods, he molds hoods but im just going to order from you if it sounds good to him

well if you missed the info. here it is again:

100% carbon fiber. two sheets. complete layer.
under support, half fiberglass/half carbon fiber,

100% UV protection,

gel clear coat.

shiny as hell

direct fit into stock hood latch. NO NEED FOR HOOD PINS.

holes for the windsheild wipers can be requested PRE-DRILLED,
use of stock hook shocks is NOT allowed. i.e. the stock hood shocks are of a setting to compenstate for the heavy hood. and thus can not be used for the new hood else you might be bending.

STOCK HOOD WEIGHT: 42 pounds
CARBON FIBER HOOD WEIGHT: 16.5 pounds

YOU SAVE: OVER 25 pounds

carbon KEVLAR is available, in a variety of colors, red, yellow, blue, and dark blue.

Those hoods look great. Even for $500 (individual) is a deal if you ask me. Shipping does suck though. I wish I could justify the money right now, but I can't. That hood would look so good on my completely blacked out Max

i thought

the hoods had the metal reinforcemnets that our stock hood has. At least that what it looks like they do when you go their site. If they use our metal under hood frame I dont see why we cant use our stock struts.

Another socal'r with gunmetal colored rims is Maxed Bandit.

Because our stock hood struts were designed to support the weight of the stock hood. The Fiber Images hood is so much lighter that it's going to be really hard to close the hood w/ the stock struts there. You might have to push so hard you'd break the hood.
