Passenger Window switch LED replacement

Has anyone replaced the passenger window switch light with an LED? I've got the driver's side and passenger door lock switches finished, but am not sure how to put in an LED for the window switch. Any input would be appreciated. (Pictures would be nice too)

You have to pry open the switch to access to the LED that is already in there. Once you open it, a "see-saw" like piece of metal and some tiny metal ***** will fall out. Make sure you don't lose these. This is what makes the switch open and close the window...up and down. Anyway, once you have the switch open, remove the ugly green LED and solder a new one in there of your choice. Reverse the procedure for install.

The green LED is in some kind of white plastic mounting piece. Can you just push it out?

Not quite understanding what you're asking....but if you want to know which is negative or positive on LED's...look inside the LED, the "flat-type" blade inside the LED is the negative lead.

Yeah, only when the leads have'nt been clipped. But, an easier way to tell and to be sure is like what I said in my previous post.

a quick and easy way to tell the positive and negative is just take out your battery out of your remote for your car and connect it to the led and if one side doesnt work flip it over and then when that works just look on the battery to see which side is positive and then remember which one it is long or short prong..................
