I want to have some sort of forced induction. Maybe NOS within the next 2-3 months.

I'm running a very under performing NOS kit. It just needs more tuning. My goal is to push around 230hp and run low 14s.

Cheston, it was the JCW NOS kit, and the cost is right around $400. Alot of people kept telling me that it was backordered and that they were on a 'waiting list', but I got mine 7 days after I ordered it. BTW, MORE POWER!!it may be too much, but think of the bragging rights.

Personally, I'm saving up for a supercharger. NOS is good and all, but seem like a bit too much hassle for me. Well, maybe when I get the supercharger, I'll add on a 50-60 shots of NOS.

you guys keep throwing around VQ30DET internals because you heard a little something something.. but let me tell you its a far more expensive project than you guys think.. you think you can get internals and bump your hp and not get a tranny and other stuff too..

i am not even going to start.. and i havn't even touched the iceberg

your j/k'ing right ? Q45 tranny ?
i'm not even gonna start to explain

People might take offese but
it seems a lot of people talk about the internals of engines and swapping trannys and motors and stuff...and they have NO IDEA wut their talkin bout
I've spent LOTS of time in garages and even more time reading up on this kind of stuff and i've even seen it done lots of times and still i would not open my mouth and speak on such a subject because i know that i don't know anywhere near as much as i should...

point is unless you've gotten your hands dirty and taken apart a motor then don't advise someone else on that topic..
if you haven't changed a clutch or taken a tranny off a car don't tell someone else it's easy ..

changing takes and installing exhaust are EASY ... it's nothing compared to wut REAL mechanics do all day.. i'll even venture to say NOS isn't that difficult of a job compared to real engine work ..

Cheston-

I personally would either go with one or another. If you want to use both, im sure a 40 shot will be safe. You will def need a new fuel pump and fp regulator. Im not sure how well the internals will hold all that power but if Thomas (SX7R) internals can withstand 300hp and 400lbs, then you stand a change. BTW, kiss that tranny good bye though.
I just dont want to see your tranny or motor go bye bye ya know? I was thinking the same thing but i have enough worries as is.

If I do add a NOS with the supercharger, I most certainly have to make my tranny stronger someway or another. First thing first. I know it can be done, I remember a member here who has both a supercharger and NOS. Forgot his username though. Maybe a 40 shot is good enough, too high of a shot is a bit risky.

I might even do a 5 spd. tranny swap. cough**Sprint**cough**cough, you hear this?
