Well, this morning i finally got rid of the old maxiam that gave me nothing but problems and bought a 98 SE 5 speed black/black ....mind you, i never drove 5 speed before, maybe once, and that shouldn't count cuz i couldnt get it outta first. Mastered that bish after about 15 minutes of driving, no stalling nothin, inclines and all, al li can say is how did i ever live with an auto, i have no idea, lol. 5 speeds FTW!!!

Im parting out my old car, i'll put a thread link here.

I'll post pics up inna minute too, gimmie some time, i wanan go back out and drive, now to get a nice exhaust for the bish :-D...

nicely done,i got the same one, but 99 and leather $6500...the thing is, i have like 194000kms about 120000 miles(all highway...montreal toronto every week end for one yr). It's amazing and you'll love the 5 spd, just remove the air snorkel(cold air intake look a like) for the intake box for the time being that u have no other intake, it gives it a little snarl when u are in the torque band...

Don't feel bad, when you want to go fast again you can always swap to an auto.

Looks like black/grey cloth to me

That is a very nice car to start with, way ahead of your old one.

*edit* no sunroof either? does it have Bose? ABS?

Lightweight SE FTW Congrats on your new ride, hope you have better luck.

Mileage is kinda high, it's at 190k ...but hey, i paid 3 g's....runs fine, no problems, it's clean, and the transmission is strong, no problems....plus i plan on dropping a vq35 in within the next 2 months, wish i could do it in time for nissan day but i guess you cant have your cake and eat it too right. 3 pedals FTW ...No ABS although i was thinking if i should swap out the abs from my old car in? how hard would this be people ? ...also no sunroof, once again im outta luck no sunroof but hey sue me...and yea, it is grey cloth sorry...thanks everybody though...

On a side note, OH MY GOSH...just came from a day of driving the beast and i wondered how the hell did i ever like my old car in the first place. i get up to 100 like it's nothing ( I was just testing it out .. ) ...im in love..no more auto's for the rest of my life.

.
You got a really nice car for 3,000 man. I would rather NOT have ABS than have it and I have it in my car

I was just curious on the options, not nitpicking. Be good to her.

I got a question. Now that i have a 5-speed, im not really knowledgeable on what to buy and etc....now, i plan on doing a vq35 swap but this is no time soon, the most im doing is the typical bolt-on's exhaust etc....sometimes im a ...." Spirited Driver " ... i'll leave it at that...so when im feeling in the spirit, what do you guys recommend that wil lget me by my daily driving but can keep up with my spirit sometimes. i want something smooth shifting and what not, what products should i look into? what fuids and such...feed me with knowledge.

Smooth shifting? A BMW.

But you can get a little closer with some synthetic tranny fluid. I just put some Amsoil in mine, and I'm kind of disappointed, it's still notchy when warmed up, but when cold it shifts smooth as butter. I dunno... I kind of don't want to try redline MT90 as it's supposed to accelerate synchro wear. Is the car still on its first tranny?

get up to 100 like nothing? let's hope you don't get the same luck with this max that you had with your last one. I'll be by tomorrow to take parts. And remember you drive a MAXIMA, not a FERRARI, dont race everything that moves cause your car's a little faster.
