Quick question regarding VE intake manifold removal. *PIC*

Hi guys, I was using the manual from autozone to remove my IM and I noticed they didn't take off the unit attached to the back of the IM. I believe it is the EGR body??? Well anyway, do I need to take this out to remove the IM? Or can I just diconnect the aluminum hose attached to it?

I took everything out but this. Any way to do this safely?
Thanks guys, I searched but couldn't get the right answers so hopefully this thread is right.

The hose

Thanks in advance!

it is the EGR and you can just take the pipe off if you can get a wrench to it. Its a little difficult and can sometimes be rusted on and hard to remove. If you cant you can probably take it off the manifold and wiggle it out. I have always taken the pipe off though.
