How to disable day time running lights?

I recently installed a low beam only HID kit into my 95 Maxima and am having problems since the right light keeps flickering on (at times stays on) while in the off position. Since I baught it through Ebay, the seller told me to disable the day time lights since this may be the problem.

I am not sure how to disable them?

We do have daytime running lights..
the original poster and me.. are both from Toronto, Canada.
It is required for a car to have daytime running lights over here, in order for the car to pass the safety certification test.

Isn't DRL a requirement in Canada?

if it is a requirement in canada, then I suggest u don't disable them less u want to get a ticket or fail ur inspections... bring it to a shop and see whats wrong if u can't figure it out urself.

I have fod lights that run during the day. That law seems like it has changed since all the new cars dont have DRL's.

So does anyone know how to disable them?

Remove the fuse. its in that fuse panel above the hood release thingy.

I also lost my DRL's when i went HID. Rewired my fogs to go on with all the other accessories(theres a writeup in the stickies).

Had to do this for my Bi-Xenon retrofit......

There are two connections going into the
DRL module (hiding near the windshield washer nozzle).
Pull one of the two wires and DRL will disable. For some reason
on my car if I took out the DRL module completely the passenger
side headlight stopped working.
