raybestos ceramic?

ok so i bought a pair of raybestos ceramic brake pads about a year ago, and they are already worn.... i dont brake that hard usually, and these claim to have a lifetime warranty, meaning that if they wear, you can bring them in and they give u new ones for free...this is what the store told me at least...seems too good to be true, so i dont think i want to get those pads again if they only last a year for me. my dad took my car to the shop and they put some generic rotors on and i cant stand how the car feels. they fell warped already after 2 months and i really want to replace them. i know i want brembo blanks, what do u guys recommend as far as brake pads as what to use. i want as little brake dust as possible, but the best performance.

I think the warranty is for defects not normal wear. If that was the case everyone would be getting free pads Raybestos would be losing money.

My friend bought brake pads recently. The auto parts store did that "oh yeah, just bring em in when there's hardly any pad left and get new ones". Pheh.

Thats strange, I've been running ceramic pads for a few years now. Love the fact that they don't dust, and at almost 30K miles, they don't even seem worn much at all.
They do eat the rotors pretty good.......

I've never had a problem exchanging pads with regular wear, for a new
set of pads under lifetime warranty. The parts stores simply count on
you losing your receipt / forgetting where you bought them or switching
to something different. At 10 1/2 years /250K miles, I've gone through
a lot of pads - but paid for very few.

I just changed mine with the Raybestos Ceramic and notice they squeak a lot. Also put new rotors on from Checker Auto. Hope these new pads don't burn up the new rotors too fast.
