Fog lamps question

Has anyone out there installed fogs on a 3rd gen that dont belong to a 3rd gen? even from a completely different nissan or other auto maker? I'm looking for PICTURES of someone who has, because I want flush-mounted fogs on my 3rd gen. Stock ones just stick out too much...Photos photos photos.....thanks

The HELLA 550 is basically a wide pattern Projector... well over 100 yards visibility!!!

Flash them back!

Hella 550 is also made in Wide pattern FOG, it's just a different lens. Burst the beam well over 30 yards to the left and right!!!

Lack of light + dodgey phone camera = no detail.. but you get the general idea.

These lights were picked up from Autobahn (popular aussie car parts and accessories chain) ... lovely pure white light from them.. very happy.

if you want to know the model / brand, i'll report back with more details.

Can anyone recommend an aftermarket fog lamp that will mount in the stock location that at least somewhat looks stock?

I think those Hellas that MrRose has fit the bill pretty well.

If you are going to be that picky, grab a ruler, measure your fogs then go to every place that sells fogs and find the ones that are about the same size.

hey mr. rose350z, can you get some night pics of how much light they put on the road...is the beam pattern longer than the stock 9004's headlights?? and are these light legal?

I gave the car away so getting some pics would not be an option. I can tell you that the beam is straint and concentrated(narrow V). At 100 yards the beam spreads 15 yards either way. Lets just say, they light up the NIGHT like no body's business...

http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell.../Model_550.jsp

This picture shows exactly what I experienced with my 550s. Notice the pattern of the head lamps(wide V), the the patternt of the HELLA 550s (Narrow V). Notice how the small white object in front of the car is picked up by the stock head lamps, and the distance the Hellas get. I totally liked mine.

When I get another MAX, I'll put them on again.

Right now I am placing the round styles on my Z...
http://www.hella.com/produktion/Hell.../Model_500.jsp

I had the FOG style at first, and did not like it, becuae the beam was too far to the left and right. The stock loghts do that, so I wanted to see farther out in front of me.

Nice to hear from you again.

Wiking had a lot of info to share, but at times he was a bit long winded. I have no idea what exactly was said to him. He should at least pop in once and a while to say hi.

Wiking got bothered by the fact that we felt brakes are something you actually need in a car
seriously that was the end of his posting.

I still haven't showed off my twin bulb fog lamps. The shape is almost like that of the turn signal lens, and they blend in pretty well. I'll get some pics up tomorrow.

he sure was long winded... nice and helpful but long winded... he still sends me a mail or two about some distant political wrongs every once in a while. usually around 2-3 pages

nice to be here again, I'll try and pop in a little more often, and I'll ask Wiking to as well!
