illuminas and progress springs

I've had this combination for about 2 months now. The handling is unbeatable. The question I have is harshness over bumps with a full car. Whenever I drive on bumpy roads around here with people in the back, it not only feels horrible but sounds horrible when I go over bumps. Doesn't sound normal, is it?

I have the same setup as you. Did you trim your bump stops when you installed everything? That may be the noise.

Sorry, I misread and thought you were asking me.

Another thing I love about my H-techs. They are amazing with a full carload. I had three guys in my car today (avg. weight I'd say around 190 each). I had no issues at all.

Sorry to go OT there. I just don't like when people hate on these springs knowing how well they've treated me.

yeh I trimmed the bumpstops a little too much so I thought anyway so for sake of preventing strut failure and $$. I ordered KYB bumpstops for the rears. I installed those hoping to eliminate harshness over(as discussed above) with a loaded car and it didn't seem to work.

I've had them as well, and didn't notice anything like that. I do like the ride on my s-techs/illuminas better.

What are your Illuminas set at? Have you rechecked all the components since installation?

I had Illumina/Progress, have driven on some pretty bad roads with 2 people in the back, and have never experienced what you're describing. The ride can be harsh (IMO), but there are no sounds at all. My bumpstops are OEM and uncut, and Illuminas are set to 2F 4R.
