Will this Exhaust fit on my Maxima? Please help

I am in need of a new muffler and midpipe for my 1999 Nissan Maxima. It is California Emissions Spec.

I have been quoted between $400 and $500 for parts/labor to replace my muffler and midpipe on my car with Bosel and Custom parts respectively. I feel i can do better getting my own parts but i want to make sure that they'll fit with very little modification to my Cali Spec Max so that i don't up having to spend all kinds of money for them to customize the exhuast to fit.

I found this one on eBay that seems reasonably priced. Will this fit?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what they think will be a good exhaust for my car. Keep in mind, price is a major concern as i also need to put a new clutch in this car. I plan on keeping it around for another 50k. It currently has 175k on it.

Thank you very much!

Keith

tThat will fit. You may need to plug the O2 bung if you dont have an O2 there. The paint will burn off, so if you have some time you should strip that paint off and repaint it with good high heat paint. There are a few members who have it and some like it while some dont. I have heard it in person with the stock y pipe and its very nice sounding, and not all that loud. My only gripe is the huge ugly tip.

Great review, thank you. I'm not a big fan of huge ugly tips so for that reason alone i don't think i'll buy it.

I'm looking for a semi-performance upgrade/replacement for my OEM exhaust that has now completely fallen off my car. I figure, if i'm going to replace it, i might as well put something on that's a little better than stock while i'm at it.

There isn't much of a selection on eBay other than the real high end Cattman stuff. Anyone have any other suggestions? Maybe even know someone who's local to Southern New Hampshire that could obtain and install one cheap?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated, i've been searching high and low and can't find a good deal anywhere...

That's great advice, but actually at the moment there is no Cattman exhaust systems on eBay. Is there a place online that .org'ers like to get stuff from? There are so many out there and i just don't want to get hosed.

What model # do you recommend 95MTL?

Cool Cool, but those all are very expensive and my new mechanic said nothing is leaking except my muffler (since it's not even connected to the B pipe id say, yeah, it's effin leaking alright).

I found this one eBay. Anyone seen these before? Does this seem like a good idea? I think i just need a muffler or a cheap OEM Replacement Muffler w/ B-Pipe.

Any other suggestions for a CHEAP but decent OEM replacement. A little performance boost over the OEM stock stuff wouldnt be bad and i'd pay a little extra..but i can't shell out $500+ for an exhaust... $300 shipped max.

Thanks!
