Newbie needs some help...

Hello to everyone at maxima.org. I bought a 2000 i30t and I have a couple questions I could not find with the search feature. I got it for a great price, but it is a swimmer out of MA..any help would be appreciated. thanks ahead of time..

I have the heated, power, leather seats. The problem is that only seat that moves it the pass. side and it only moves forward and backward. I switched the motors from the pass to the driver, same exact fuction. Fuses are all good. So I assume that its no the motors and something else electrical?

I used a scan tool and got two codes from my car. P0740 (clutch seleniod valve) and P1705 (TPS). I replaced the TPS and the next day a loud ticking/chattering noise comes from the transmission in P and N, but not when its in a drive gear. It only happenes when it warms up as well. Fluid is full and clean.

What do you mean it is a 'swimmer'? Was it in a lake?

There is a known problem where the seat does not move front or back, but that doesn't sound exactly like your problem. Below is the link to the TSB anyway.

I agree with the previous poster though - who knows what problems could come up with a car with flood damage. The problems you may encounter in the future may not justify the price you paid for the car. Better to cut your losses now.
