brake problem?

About two weeks ago i was driving and after slamming on my brakes there was a white smoke coming out of my passenger side rotor/ brake pad. I didnt know what happened but figured it was fine. But yesterday i was driving and the same thing happened to my driver side. Plus yesterday i scrubbed my rims to clean them up and today they are already filthy from brake dust. Does anyone know if there is something unusual or wrong with my pads or something? has anyone heard of this problem?

White smoke? The only thing I can think of is that your caliper seals are on their way out, and when you slammed on the anchors, some fluid leaked past and on to the hot rotors, causing a cloud of steam. or, actually, brake fluid vapour.
Was there an acrid smell at the same time, by any chance?
