Steering pump

Did anyone have a problem with the steering pump? Mine started making humming noises when car is cold. Noise normally goes away after 5 minutes of driving.

mine was leaking when the car was new. The fitting on the high pressure side was loose. How many miles? Is the fluid full?

Fluid is not leaking and it is up to the level. Car has 67K on it.

Are you positive the noise is coming from the pump and not some other belt driven acc.? Does the steering feel any different when the noise is present. Just trying to get a better idea of whats goin on.
