Hey guys, i took my test this morning and I passed and got my license. Anyways, I went out tonight and I reved at this Honda Civic SI with mods. Probably 5 speed and im auto. I blew past him and then there was a car ahead of me so I slowed down and past. Then he just got on my tail and since i wasnt gunning it he just floored it right by me, and I had no chance of catching up. It was a B*I*T*C*H win, because it wasnt a real race. I was slowed down because of the cars ahead. He had a car full of three cars, so i think he backed off at first, then saw that i slowed down so he sped up to show off and shoot his mouth. Dont worry, the VB mod is on the way and I will have my CAI installed Friday, Im gonna find this dude and race him at a stoplight, where it is fair.

congrats on getting your license. You may want to take it easy for a while. In some states, the first thirty days of your license are on probation. If you get busted, especially for racing, they can take it away for what will seem like a long time.

That's what I was thinking too. A Maxima is a very fast car for someone who just got their license, so take it easy. It's better to lose or not race against other cars than to have something unfortunate happen such as getting busted by the cops or even worse, wrapping your car around a light pole.

Definetly try to lay low and don't race, I know in Illinois you have the possibility of losing your license till your 21 or in some cases indefinetly... just be careful...

To help you understand how extreme I got after I got my license, read this thread!

A friend asked me for a race and so I did! At first, I thought he won't have the guts to go fast, but man, after hitting 170km/h in the back road with farms became a reality to me! 170km/h mihgt not seem alot to you guys, but for me, in a rain, it was the ultimate driving experience!
LUckily, no accident!!!

I am wondering if it is common for you guys to go taht fast? I know it doesn't seem alot, but do you think its safe in the rain?

What do you guys think of the Legend's stability in the rain at high speed?

My Legend has Koni shocks and Eibach springs
Slotted disc brakes and carbon pads.

170km/h is basically 106mph, and I did it when it was raining cats and dogs.

RE:http://forums.legend.org/Forum5/HTML/001087.html

About four weeks ago, I was driving to my parents house southbound I-5 around 11pm. I had my cruise control set at 80mph and there were two cars that flew by me, one was a Tiburon and the other was a V6 Accord Coupe. I wanted to find out how fast they were driving and they seemed to be going around 95-100mph when I caught up to them. I toyed w/ them for a while to see if they would follow me. I punched my Max up to 120mph for about 5 mins and they didn't want to keep up. The engine sounded really nice from the inside and got my adrenaline going!

Yeah, I know it wasnt a good idea, but This guy was just begging for it. And It felt great to race, it gets your adrenaline pumping, even before the race my heart was pounding. I also made sure there were no cops around. Also my friend let me borrow his Passport 8500 Radar Detector. From what ive heard, this is THE best if not one of the best out there, and It was clean when i was on the highway.

In my old car, 1985 SE 5 speed, completly stock I drove 143 miles, through two towns(one of which was the state capital Denver and the other being Colorado Springs) in 1hour and 35 minutes. While I was inbetween the towns I had it floored in 5th gear going roughtly 120-125 the whole time. It was the best rush of my life and I would certanly like to try it in my new max (1995 GXEa) and see if I can break my record.

K

P.S. I did this while my radar dector was being fixed and was not in the car - probably not the smartest move I;ve made...

I think he's referring to 'Gotrice4', not me. I'm in PA, not Illinois.

Sorry about putting the wrong site, most people asking about a "got rice" are refering to you and I wasnt sure if he was or not.

P.S. I'm the guy who ordered the brake kit, FSTB, and clear corners from you earlier today
