Shorted out door light, don't know where. Help!
I was checking which prong was positive on the door light and accidentally hit the negative and positive at the same time and I heard a spark. Now the light doesn't work. It shorted out something, but I do not know what. I swaped the light assembly from the other door and it did not work. I checked the fuse and its not broken, and it is still getting power to the light bulb. I don't know what is wrong with it. Please help me.

im surprised noone answered..
anyways, same exact thing happened to me. and as other ppl have told me, it definitely is the power window switch that caused this. it is the red/white i think. trace it and it will go to the power window switch. internally there is a circuit that trigures a ground. the hot wire, (red/blue or yellow) (dont remember always should get power.
or u can do what i did. instead of changing the switch, wire a new ground from the other door that works and tap into that ground.. its more work but cheaper than getting a new switch.
