For those who couldn't stand the ugly chrome door handles on their GLE, what;s the best fix...replacing them? Painting them?

I'm getting some body work done (1997-1999 bumpers, trunk lid), so I plan on just having my place paint the door handles. Just sand them down and paint them.

I replaced mine. Not too hard. Took about 1 hour per door handle.

Got them from a .org member $50 for all of them. Which is a killer price.

I sanded and painted mine. They chip a little each year. I had 2 of them repainted.
