Endless freaking brake squeaking noise ! help please

My brakes been squeaking for a longg a$$ time now... about an year. During that year, i changed my front brake pad once, twice on my rear, and got my front brake rotors tuned up once. After all that, its still making a lot of noise. But when i changed my rear brake pad the second time, it didnt make any squeaky noise for about a week. The guy from the shop told me get my rear brake tuned up first, and my brother told me that the alignment is off. What do you guys think ? im so sick and tired of the noise and my girlfriend always telling me to fix it but i have no idea how to.

Make sure you've got all the shims on there. I changed my brakes once and forgot to put them on and they were noisy as heck. Put them on and sounds great. I use Raybestos Quietstops (ceramic).

That probably wasn't helpful, but hey I tried.

I think the point about the shims is vitally important. Always use a stock shim setup.

Just paint the backside of the pads with antisieze. That will take car of your squeak.

For very many people this does not work. The full set of Nissan shims always works.

Make sure shim is firmly on the pads. You may need some clue.

all these suggestions are fairly good I have redone my brake system 3 times with diff. rotor/pad setups and in my experience have found that when you are using stock pads the shims are necessary but with aftermarket setups I have never used shims....ever... and have had zero and I mean zero brake squeel my secret..(which is not really a secret) is too make sure you use a small amount of oem brake grease(the orange caliper grease, in the little packet) on the brake pad holders/slides top and bottom (just a small amt again.) also go to autozone or the like and get brake pad adhesive its in a white small packet I think its wagner or something? and apply this blue gluey substance to the back of the pads but only in the area where the caliper finger wraps around the brake to hold it in place, if you want it to look nice. if not smear a decent amt all over the back side of the pads with a popsicle stick. I had a squeel once and did this process and they never squeeked again hopr this helps

hahahahaha.......jesus, they must be good!

try using a differant pad, and as other said throwing some disc brake quiet on all pad. let it dry before you intall, and see what that takes you.

if you mean let it dry when you have the the pads on and touching the calipers then that is right dont put the stuff on and wait for the pad to dry and then install sorry it sounded a bit confusing

Ditto...use OEM pads and shims for quiet brakes. Whatever you do, don't buy Raybestos Quietstops...absolute waste of money and no way to make them quiet...even with OEM shims.
