Aight, sorry guys but heres another timing chain tensioner post ...

For those of you who have the dreaded worn out tensioner problem, im just wondering if any of you have tried the o-ring replacement method. I read posts before of people having a theory of dismanteling a new style tensioner and switching out o-rings from the new to the old, thus preventing having to change the whole damn guide and tensioner. Sounds like it would work, right?

 

I think one guy has done it with success, but I can't recall the name. I'm hoping to do the same later, mine is not as bad. Try a google search e.g
